These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of homegroundbox.com and your purchase of products and subscriptions from Homeground Box LLC (“Homeground,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing our site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Our Products

Homeground offers seasonal subscription boxes and one-time purchases containing children’s books, an adult book, and Midwest-roasted coffee. Each box is thoughtfully curated and ships four times per year for subscription members.

Specific box contents — including book titles and featured coffee roasters — are not disclosed in advance as part of our surprise box experience. By purchasing, you acknowledge and accept this.

2. Subscriptions

When you purchase a subscription, you authorize us to charge you on a recurring basis according to the plan you select. Subscription charges will be applied to your payment method on file at the start of each billing cycle.

You may cancel your subscription at any time before the next billing date. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — you will continue to receive any boxes already paid for. To cancel, log into your account or contact us at hello@homegroundbox.com.

We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice. If pricing changes, we will notify you before your next billing cycle.

3. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars. Shipping is included in the price of all subscription and one-time box orders. We accept all major credit cards through Shopify’s secure payment platform.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If an order is placed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error, we will contact you and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel your order.

4. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping is included with every Homeground order. We ship within the contiguous United States. Estimated delivery windows will be communicated at the time of order and via shipping confirmation email.

We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather, or circumstances outside our control. If your order is lost or significantly delayed, please contact us and we will work to make it right.

5. Returns and Refunds

Because our boxes contain curated, perishable (coffee), and consumable items, we are unable to accept returns. However, we stand behind our products. If your order arrives damaged or incomplete, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at hello@homegroundbox.com with a photo of the issue, and we will arrange a replacement or refund at our discretion.

Subscription charges are non-refundable once a billing cycle has begun and a box has been prepared for shipment.

6. Coffee Preference

At checkout, you will be asked how you prefer your coffee prepared — whole bean or pre-ground. This preference is applied to all boxes in your subscription. You may update your preference in your account settings before the preparation cutoff date for each shipment.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on homegroundbox.com — including text, images, branding, and design — is the property of Homeground Box LLC and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without our written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Homeground Box LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our site or products. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from a purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Illinois.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our site or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the effective date at the top of this page when changes are made.
