It was after our second child was born that we realized we needed an outlet. We were still fairly new to our community and looking for ways to connect, grow, and feel at home. During that transitional season, we began intentionally seeking out the things we loved most. For us, that meant spending more time outdoors as members of our local arboretum, getting to know our neighbors, exploring local coffee shops to find our favorite lattes, and for me personally, joining a book club. These became meaningful rhythms in our daily lives that brought us genuine joy.

We quickly realized these same passions were shared among our friends, neighbors, and broader community. We found ourselves constantly recommending our favorite local coffee roasters, excitedly talking about the latest romance novels, and asking whether others were watching the film adaptations too. At the same time, we noticed how much joy our children found in their subscription boxes—eagerly opening something just for them—and we wished for that same sense of anticipation around the things we loved as adults.

When we couldn’t find something that brought all of these pieces together, we decided to create it ourselves. And that’s where Homeground began.
